Early in 2010 I decided to challenge myself to take One Hundred Photos focusing on the theme of "contrast". After several months of gathering pictures, I decided to create this blog as a way to organize these photos. This challenge is inspiring me to look beyond the surface of what I see and to notice the little things that all too often pass by unnoticed.

Hummer and Mockingbird--While the larger mockingbird sat on the wire for quite a long time, the tiny hummingbird flitted from place to place, only stopping for a moment to rest.
