Early in 2010 I decided to challenge myself to take One Hundred Photos focusing on the theme of "contrast". After several months of gathering pictures, I decided to create this blog as a way to organize these photos. This challenge is inspiring me to look beyond the surface of what I see and to notice the little things that all too often pass by unnoticed.

From Contrast - One Hundred Photos

I don't think I have ever seen a pumpkin like this. The contrasting colors and intricate lines were so interesting. On one hand it looked almost like lace, and on the other hand, it looked like it might be blood veins---perfect for Halloween!
